HI, I’M JULIA KING.

I am a clinical psychologist and registered
yoga teacher.

I obtained Masters and Doctoral degrees in clinical psychology — as well as a Masters degree in business administration — from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania. I am licensed in the states of Ohio, Kentucky, and New York.  Psychologists are among the most highly trained mental health professionals; I, myself, have received six years of graduate level training, completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Cincinnati. I am also a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200).  In addition, I have undertaken specialty training, in the areas of yoga for depression and anxiety; trauma sensitive yoga; and mindful eating.

I am well trained in high quality, effective therapy interventions supported by research. Yet, I have also learned, through my education and professional training — but also, much more profoundly, in my personal life — the transformation that can occur by using the strategies I teach, tapping into the power of the physical body, and quieting the mind.  

Learning such lessons caused a significant shift in my relationship with myself, my body, and others. And, it also led to big changes in my professional life, most meaningfully giving rise to this clinical psychology practice.
